What You Will Do

Role Overview

This is a full-time, permanent role where you will take ownership of engineering project delivery from concept through to completion, working closely with project managers, site teams, and wider stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes. You'll play a key role across design, coordination, and project delivery, applying your technical expertise to live projects while driving best practice, supporting team collaboration, and contributing to the successful delivery of efficient, buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, and delivery of mechanical and electrical engineering projects
  • Produce and review technical drawings, calculations, and specifications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and buildability
  • Carry out site visits and surveys to inform design development and support delivery on site
  • Coordinate project activities, managing progress, resources, and programme milestones
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality project documentation, reports, and technical records
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards, including RAMS and company procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver coordinated solutions
  • Apply and develop expertise in low-carbon technologies, including ASHP, GSHP, and energy-efficient systems
  • Engage with clients and attend meetings, providing technical input and supporting project delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and support the development of junior team members where appropriate
  • Perform detailed HVAC calculations including heat loss, heat gain, ventilation rates, and system sizing
  • Design HVAC systems including ductwork, pipework, plant rooms, and distribution networks
  • Select appropriate HVAC equipment such as ASHPs, GSHPs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, and ventilation systems
  • Ensure designs comply with CIBSE, Building Regulations, and industry best practice
  • Undertake mechanical and electrical load calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical distribution, lighting etc.)
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (CIBSE, BS, IET Wiring Regulations, Building Regulations)

What We Are Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar
  • Strong interest in building services, M&E, and sustainable energy solutions
  • Excellent understanding of engineering principles
  • Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (essential) & Revit (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
